DUM DUM:“Shalom” was the greeting given by the Risen Christ to the Apostles, who were lock behind closed doors. Provincial visitation to the community of Auxilium Dum Dum took place during the Corona Virus lockdown exactly after Easter, from 14-18 April 2020. On 14April, a solemn welcome was given to Provincial Sr. Rose Ezarathduring the Morning Prayer by the community Sisters through the enactment of Mary Magdalene who goes early in the morning to search for Jesus, where she encounters Risen Christ. After the enactment Sisters proceeded towards the altar with a symbolic candle. Sr. Provincial,representing the Risen Saviour stood in the Sanctuary near the Paschal candle bringing peace and joy of Christ to our community bylighting the candle of each Sister. The Sistersthen placed their lit candles on the beautifully arranged altar. As per the request of Mother General on the preparation of the World Gratitude Day to read the Mother Mazzarello’s letters, the community took an opportunity to take one letter each from the hand of Sr. Provincial. This was followed by the meaningful Morning Prayer offered for the fruitful visitation of our Provincial Sr. Rose Ezarath which was exquisitely prepared by Sr. Esther Rani Abraham.In the refectory the community sang a melodious welcome song, directed by Sr. Luciana Anjana Rai. |

In the evening Sr. Rose our Provincial gave us the community conference where she highlighted the Theme of the GC XXIV “Do whatever He tells you”. The Wedding Feast of Cana - source of identity of the FMA becoming sign and expression of God’s foreseeing love to young people. . On 15 April the Morning meditation was animated through a power point by Sr. Lily Perumpettikunnelon Psalm 1, which was the theme for the World Gratitude Day. After supper a lively recreation was conducted by Sr. Anima Minj . It began with the Easter hymnswhich were sung in one’s own local language, this was followed by a game,based on the Bible and the winners were appreciated with the gifts. . On 16th eveningthe community had a Conference by Provincial. In this Conference she spoke about the Circular Letter of Mother Mazzarello from the Constitutions, where she exhorts the Sisters to be humble, to be careful about little defects, and never make peace with them. . The community had the joy of having a “Moonlight Dinner” arranged by Sr. Gracy Valliyil and Sr. SalomiMinj .This dinner was again in the lockdown held in our decorated verandah. Sr. Provincial with all the Sisters werewarmly invited to the Moonlight Hotel by the caterers. The meals were blessed by Sr. Rose and we all enjoyed in the dim lights and music. . On 17tha special Rosary was animated by Sr. ResitulaKharpran. Each Mysterywasprayed with various intentions along with hymns. We honoured Our Blessed Mother with much love and devotion. . On 18 during the concluding conference Sr. Provincialexpressed her gratitude to the community for carrying out their specific responsibilities and making the Provincial House a welcome home for all. She stressed on listening to Our Blessed Mother Mary and doing whatever Jesus tells us, concluding with the following points:Have Mary’s confidence in God’s plan, Be obedient like the servants without questioning, Jesus always provides abundant gifts whenever we carry out our duties with love.After the conference Sr. Emilia thanked Sr. Provincial on behalf of community with words of gratitude for the accompaniment and guidance toeach of the Sisters.A hymn “Father I thank you …” was sung. . The Thanks giving Prayer Service was animated by Sr. Emilia Vas with the community’s involvement. Thanks giving Psalms were sung and Mary Mazzarello’s letters were expressed in a form of prayer, commitment and resolution. The Prayer Service concluded with Mary’s hymn of praise.After supper the community Sisters expressed their love and gratitude to Provincial Sr. Rose Ezarath. All together in the Provincial hall, expressed through a song, a dance and Gospel magic Sr. Luciana showed and by all the Sisters.Provincial Sr. Rose appreciated and thanked the Sisters for their performance. .
