ST. MARY’S CONVENT, GEYZING: On 20 March 2018 the Community of St. Mary’s Convent School Geyzing welcomed Provincial Sr.Rose Ezarath and Sr. Mini the Provincial secretary. On 22 March the school community had the joy of encountering the provincial. The School band accompanied Sr. Rose together with Sr.Mini Chettayil, Sr.Anna Varkey, Sr.Nirmala Tigga the animator and Sr. Lucy Kachira from house to the School hall in a dignified slow march. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp after which the School head girl Neysang gave the welcome address. Students expressed their respect and gratitude towards Sister Provincial by offering Khadas and they presented a lovely programme consisting of a welcome song, peace action song, Nepali folk dance, poem enactment “YOU ARE A SPECIAL GIFT” and the skit based on the theme “LET US CULTIVATE THE ART OF LISTENING AND ACCOMPANIMENT.” Mother Provincial delivered her message to the students through a short story. She said “We should be deaf to the other’s criticism, negative comments in order to reach the goal.” She urged them to continue in their quest for excellence. The efforts of the students were appreciated by her.
She also interacted with the teachers and office staff. She invited them to be God oriented persons, happy to be with the young people. She also thanked the teachers for the commitment with which they render their service to the Institution. In the evening Mother Provincial met the Non-Teaching staff and thanked them for the help which they give in our Institute. In the evening of 23 March, boarders had the privilege to greet Provincial Sr. Rose with a short programme. In her message she told them that in order to achieve something they need to have desire and determination. On 24th morning Provincial Sr. Rose met the Bosco boys who welcomed her through their melodious song which resounded in the Bosco boarding. She exhorted them to be determined in order to achieve something beautiful in their life. On Sunday 25 March after the Eucharistic celebration the parishioners felicitated the Provincial Sr. Rose and others..
