ODISHA: It was for the first time under the banner of St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Kurtamgarh, children's day was celebrated in a grand and meaningful manner. The day was planned by the Parish Priest Fr. Jugal Kishore Digal, the assistant parish priest Fr. Susanta, FMA sisters Teresa Xalxo, Shanti Tirkey, Sabita Nayak and the youth of the parish. Nearly 200 children from different village of Kurtamgarh Panchayat gathered in the parish campus at 9.30 a.m.. Around 10.30 am together with fathers, sisters and youth they went to the town in procession, carrying placards, raising slogans and cleaning the surrounding. After returning from the procession the Holy Eucharist celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Jugal Kishore and con celebrated by Fr. Susanta for the intentions of the children. During his sermon Fr. Jugal briefed the significance of the day and inspired and encouraged the children to do little sacrifices daily to become great person like Chacha Nehru. After the Holy Mass a short entertainment was performed by fathers, sisters and the youth. It was followed by a fellowship meal. Everybody returned home with a happy and contented heart.
