Brief History

At the request of the then Archbishop Of New Delhi Most Rev. Angelo Fernandes to begin a new presence at New Delhi, the then Provincial Rev. Mother Mania Catherine sent two sisters, Sr. Mary Mascarehnas and Sr. Louisa Miorelli to study the situation. In the beginning the two sisters took shelter with the “Sisters of Destitute” and then in a rented house in A5 Kailash Colony, New Delhi 48. Meanwhile the Maria Bambina Sisters of New Delhi sold to us a plot of land measuring 2.5 acres at Rama Krishna Puram, with all the documents without making any difficulty. Mother Innocenza SC, the Provincial of Maria Bambina was instrumental for this transaction and the work of the school building started on January 2nd. 1970 designed by the architect, Mr. B.M. Sharma.

The Province sees to the expense of the construction of the school and needs of the house.

On June 8. 1970 with the arrivals of Sr. Cleofe Fassa and Sr. Clara Martin the new community is formed. The first community consists of:

Sr. Clara Martin Helper in the school

The initial scope of the house is to run an English Medium School and the school Begins with just one student of class II. As the school building was getting ready, the two sisters took shelter in the school building on April 30, 1971, in spite of the lack of necessities of life, like water, electricity etc. at the initial stage.
